New exhibition in Carcabuey, Córdoba

Carcabuey is a really beautiful village that makes a difference. It is located among high mountains full of olive trees, designed with white houses, pristine streets, a lovely main square, a castle with a chapel on top of a mountain and full of kind people, inviting you to come back.

I would like to thank Lucía Sánchez, the counsellor of Culture and Juan Miguel Sánchez , the Mayor of this village, for helping me with the organization of the show. Without them, it wouldn’t have been possible.

The same day, I had the chance to watch the oficial presentation of the book “No te vayas sin irte de mi”, by Fiana Marín Benítez (@japicuin), for which I designed the cover illustration.

The presentation was very special. In an intimate ambience, on a stage with her as the only lead presenter and a background reading of some of her poems, the writer talked about her personal and professional path, commenting on motivations and illusions that have led her to write this book. She also told us about her upcoming projects in the near future.

It made me happy the description she made of the illustration, explaining how I developed it and which were the key facts that I highlighted in it.

I would like to finish this post showing you some pictures of this beautiful village. It is really worth a visit, walking down its nice streets, trying the special chips at bar Casa Adelina, having a famous “charco” in the evening (a special lemonade made with wine and peach) and staying at La Posada de Adul.
